TL;DR: Citizen has launched a limited-edition Marvel Avengers Dr. Doom watch, available to purchase now for $495.
We're almost overwhelmed by the tidal wave of Avengers: Doomsday brand collabs ahead of the movie's Dec. 18 release, but Citizen has just dropped something considerably more refined than novelty fast-food cups.
The watchmaker has officially unveiled the Marvel | Citizen Limited-Edition Avengers: Doomsday Timepiece, paying direct homage to Victor von Doom. Limited to just 3,100 pieces globally, the timepiece eschews cartoonish comic prints in favor of a textured, industrial aesthetic. It's nerdy and sexy all rolled into one.

It has a 43mm gray ion-plated case, gold-tone hour markers, an olive-green leather strap, and Citizen’s signature Eco-Drive quartz movement.
The watch runs on Citizen’s Eco-Drive light-powered movement. It pulls continuous operating charge from any ambient light source — including dull fluorescent home-office bulbs and desk lamps — meaning you will never have to crack the case open to replace anything. Nobody has time for that.
Each of the 3,100 units ships with custom villain-themed display packaging, an etched caseback, and a heavy, double-sided Doctor Doom collectible challenge coin. It's an absolute dream for collectors.
